I've never known this kind of collection called resort collection. in september issue of Harper's Bazaar Russia (HPR) and Vogue, I noticed that Prada was all about rooster feathers, leather fringes and superb acid colored synth fabrics. I saw a handful of girls in spread ads, still focusing on Pivovarova. She used to be photographed alone.

soon, i learned that she was featured again in new Prada ads, along with a handful of girls. this time they were wearing Chinese ladies inspired silk dresses. i thought, is this pre-spring? in HPR issue, i saw a couple running on the beach in Dolce and Gabbana. thus i learned that there are resort collections.

a very nice idea indeed: wealthy people need winter holidays on warmer climate.

some are like oh from years ago collection and some resemble ordinary spring/summer/safari collections. some show originality, like those of Prada, Chanel, YSL and Balenciaga.

again, a very nice idea indeed. it is wearable by most people (especially in two-seasons countries like mine where we have no other options than rain or sun). very good business idea.

resot collections must had been existed long long time ago, i should say.
